Mock Draft

Here are the picks for six rounds for the New York Giants from one of my favorite footballsites

1st round pick #15 C.J. Spiller

2nd Round pick Brian Price

3rd Round pick ILB Donald Butler

4th Round DE Greg Hardy

5th Round TE Ed Dickson

6th Round LB Daryl Sharpton

I really like this mock and think it provides, for the most part excellent value.

The only qualm I have in this mock is Donald Butler in the third round.

I’d be estatic with Spiller and Price in the first two rounds.

In the third round he has players like Lamarr Houston (but if we get Price won’t need him) fall after Donald Butler and opposed to Butler I’d go with a CB like Amari Spivey, Akwasi-Owusu Ansah.

But Some people are very high on Donald Butler, one such Scouting place is SN. I think Butler was rated as the top coverage LB and blizting ILB, I believe.

Walterfootball believes that Butler is the, perhaps, the best 4-3 inside linebacker for the Tampa 2 system in the draft.

What do you guys think of this possible draft?

I think it’d be tremendous value, but I don’t think that Spiller will fall to us in the first round, or Price in the second round.

I think Ed Dickson in the fifth round be a great pick up. And Daryl Sharpton is a nice player

I’ll post my Big Board later tonight.

  1. CMH says:

Not bad but if we take Price (or Houston) in the 2nd, I’d much rather they go DB in the 4th than take Hardy.

Butler seems like an interesting prospect.

  2. Steve B. says:

If they dont go McClain in the first, I think I would want to grab Sean Lee in the 2nd, i think he is the next best option. (That should be a poll question, if not McClain, who’s would u want as MLB).

Cant wait till the draft, who knows whats going to happen.

And PS according to Mike Garafolo, He seems to think the Giants are not interested in Weatherspoon, nor does he think he can be a MLB
