Feagles Considering Retirement?

Scratching your head at the Matt Dodge pick? Don’t. The beat writers are reporting that Jeff Feagles has told Tom Coughlin and Jerry Reese that he is not sure if his body can make it through another season, and will make up his mind about retirement next week. That Matt Dodge pick is looking pretty good.

Jeff is really not sure that physically he’s going to be able to do it. In his mind he really wanted to do it

If this is the end of Feagles, then what a career. Best punter ever. The best at pinning it in the corner. It will be weird to see him not in a Giant uniform. Dodge will battle Jy Bond to be the punter, if Feagles retires.

“He’s 44 years old,” Coughlin said. “He worked very hard for approximately a month right after the season just to try to tell himself again that he could do it and wanted to be able to do it. He’s having some physical issues and he decided to deal with them.
