Bernard Played Last Season With Torn Rotator Cuff

So, this explains it. Rocky Bernard played last season with a partially torn rotator cuff, according to the Daily News. He says he felt it on nearly every play.

“Every play I just felt something like a sting or something pulling on every play,” he said. “It was pretty bad. Obviously the production wasn’t there while I tried to play with it.”

This explains Bernard’s lack of productivity. He underwent surgery after the season, and says he’s 100%. My respect for Bernard just went up tenfold.

In other injury news, Osi Umenyiora was at the facility, but didn’t practice due to a sore hip. Kenny Phillips (knee), Michael Johnson (quad), Hakeem Nicks (wrist/toe) and Ahmad Bradshaw (feet/ankle) all didn’t practice. Barry Cofield didn’t practice but he wasn’t hurt. His wife is about deliver a baby. Congrats, Barry.
