David Tyree is likely to retire, ProFootballTalk reports. Speaking to the media after a visit to the Giants OTAs yesterday, he had this to say.
“It’s very likely I could shut it down and I won’t have any qualms about it,” Tyree said during a visit to the Giants’ organized team activities Friday. “Like I said two years ago, if everything ended with this I had to be happy. It’s been a crazy ride.”
Tyree isn’t garnering much interest from any teams, and he isn’t staying in top notch shape.. Still, when he does retire, he wants to retire as a Giant:
“When I decide,” he said, “I’ll make the world know I’m a Giant.’
Best of luck to Tyree in his decision, and hopefully, he can retire as a Giant. And, because we can, for old time’s sakeL
