Morning Practice Report

Relax. Steve Smith’s groin is going to be fine and he’s day to day. I’d be more worried about the Seubert injury. In addition to Seubert and Smith being out, DE Osi Umenyiora (hip), WR Hakeem Nicks(toe/knee), S Kenny Phillips(knee/PUP), S Deon Grant (quad), TEs Kevin Boss (ankle), Jake Ballard(hamstring) and Travis Beckum(hamstring), C Shaun O’Hara (ankle) and OL Kevin Boothe (pec/PUP) were all out. Also, G Rueben Riley was waivede/injured (MCL) and OL Cliff Louis was re-signed

Mike Garafolo, Star Ledger

Ralph Vacchiano, Daily News

Pat Traina, Inside Football

Vinny DiTrani, Bergen Record

From the looks of the reports, here are the people standing out to me:

Derek Hagan

Tim Brown (the diminutive rookie wideout from Rutgers)

The entire Giants secondary

Mitch Petrus

Jason Pierre-Paul

Nice to hear JPP is doing a nice job he has the tools. Big fan of Tim Brown would love to see him break in as punt returner and/or a Dave Meggett type 3rd down threat.
