Monday Thoughts And Musings

Hello all. Welcome back to Monday Thoughts and Musings. Now that  camp is underway, we have stuff to talk about. Let’s dive right in.

-From everything I’m reading and hearing, the defense is going to be fun to watch. They’re aggressive, and they’re hungry. The secondary is going to be great. Terrell Thomas is going to have a breakout year and Aaron Ross is finally healthy. If Kenny Phillips comes back to his normal self, watch out.

-It’s amazing how one coach can change everything. Perry Fewell is the polar opposite of Bill Sheridan. And that’s a good thing. Fewell seems to inspire the players. An inspired defense is a great thing. Big things from this defense.

-Offense doesn’t look too bad either. Receivers are making plays. Running games seems back. It’s interesting though. Ahmad Bradshaw is getting the majority of first team reps. He’s healthy and he was the better back last season. If Bradshaw is back, and Jacobs is hungry to steal his spot, watch out.

-I think it’s amazing that a year ago, the focus was on how bad the receivers were. Now, no one talks about them because they’re so good.

-Music interlude: I’ve been digging John Legend lately. This is one of my favorite songs:

-I just love the leadership and energy Keith Bulluck has brought. He’s the new Antonio Pierce.

-By putting Mathias Kiwanuka at linebacker in their “Big Base” package, I think it signals that Kiwi is a bit behind Osi on the depth chart. Of course, it’s early. But, it’s telling.

-Antrel Rolle was a great pickup. He brings a lot of energy and presence.

-Tim Brown, the diminutive receiver from Rutgers, may be the guy to finally edge Sinorice Moss out of town. Essentially the same player, except Brown is better. Could this be the end?

-Good to see JPP and Linval Joseph impressing. I think, with time, these two are going to be forces.

-Will Beatty is struggling. All the more reason for Rich Seubert to get healthy.

-I think, as fans, we should only panic if there is an injury that includes these two words: Tear or break. Anything else is usually never that serious. They miss a day or two, but no more than that. A break or a tear is serious stuff.

-The first preseason game is a week from today. That’s insane.

-I didn’t get a chance to watch the Hall of Fame game. Anyone got a scouting report on the Boys?

-Movie interlude: Watched “The Departed” for a second time the other day. Just a tremendous movie. In other Boston movie news, I’m very excited about “The Town”. The preview is below.

Apparently there are no people of color in boston(Departed). Great movie though. Dicaprio and Will Smith are the only actors I’ll pay to see, and maybe Denzell depending on the director.

Now that you got me talking about movies Ridley Scott is the greatest director ever his movies are Epic. And Robert Rodriguez kicks Michael Bay’s ass in well anything. Michael Bay is a hack.

This is off topic but Elisha Manning is the second greatest QB in the NFL behind only Drew Breeze. Tom Brady is Soft and Payton is more of a choker then McNabb. In his Superbowl year, the entire playoffs he really wasn’t that good. The D carried him. Ironically the D sucked durring the season. Go figure.

Aaron Rogers is aided by the West Coast offense. Look at Brett Favre in New York and Atlanta for that matter he sucked too. I’ll give it to Rivers but him and Romo are aided by an insane offense actually I take that back Romo is semi talented. I refuse to fully acknowledge any current cowboy. Except Aikman I hate him. Actually is there a word stronger then hate. Him and Joe Buck are so annoying on Fox. I watch them on Mute and listen to the Giants on the Radio. But I digress

Did I 4get anyone. There really aren’t any other candidates right.

Sadly my magic eight ball told me Sinorice will never be cut. I think he has coughlin in some compromising pictures or something.

Oh and for the record Blackburn is our back up strong side linebacker.

That rant felt good. Journalists jobs are easy.
