Brandon Jacobs Is The #2 Back And He Isn’t Happy About It:

It looks like Ahmad Bradshaw has made the jump to the starting tailback position and Jacobs isn’t happy about it.  I for one am happy to see the younger, faster and hungrier Bradshaw get a crack at the starting spot.  It just seemed that Jacobs wasn’t/isn’t running with the same desire.

Here are some quotes from Brandon Jacobs.

it’s hard to stay positive in his current situation.

“To be in this business, you have to know that,” Jacobs told ESPN. “No one’s your friend in this business. This is a cutthroat, backstabbing business. That’s just the way it goes. It’s been like that before me. If you expect anything else out of a business like this, you’re crazy.”

When asked if the Giants informed him of his new role.“Nope, they don’t talk to me about anything,” he said. “They do what they do.”

“If I would have stayed making minimum, this wouldn’t be a problem,” Jacobs said. “Once you get paid, you’re always in danger of running into problems like this. It doesn’t matter who you are or what team or organization you play for, that’s just the way it is.”

After his outburst last night Tom Couglin was “surprised” by his comments.  Coughlin said

“We did have a conversation today, He’s well aware of where we are and what we’re doing. He’s very, very confident in his relationship with Jerald Ingram and they are, I believe, on the same page.

“I don’t believe there’s an issue there.”

We’ll have to see how this shakes out, I do believe that Bradshaw fits into the offense better but Jacobs still is a beast of a man.  If he gets that fire back there are still plenty of carries to be shared during an NFL season.

Absolutely the right move, this has been a long
time coming Bradshaw is very elusive and the
offensive line does not need to hold their blocks longer, he’s also dangerous out of the backfield. My question is why did this take so long? jacobs can continue his bruising style of
running but he get’s hurt a lot and defenses are on to him, that’s why the short yardage plays to him don’t work any longer. They need speed period!

  2. Jared says:

Quit bitchin’ Jacobs!! Just play the damn game: split lips, bust some heads and score touchdowns…period!

  3. Chris says:

Jacobs needs to shut up and contribute. Be ready to play hard, pal – they’re paying you enough. It’s a team game. Go in in the second half when the defense is a little tire and run over them. That’s what the g-men are paying your for. Don’t whine if you’re cashing monster checks.

Off topic, we got the SAGE!!
I’m happy with this move, who’s with me???
