Giants lose out on TE Mickey Shuler

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel the New York Football Giants’ were one of three teams to put in a claim for rookie TE Mickey Shuler Jr. Does that name sound familiar? It should. Mickey Shuler is the son of the former Jets and Eagles tight end Mickey Sr. The Sun-Sentinel also reports the Colts and Dolphins also put in claims for Shuler. The Dolphins won the wavier claim because of their record last year. Shuler Jr. was released by the Vikings to make room for Hank Baskett, who they signed earlier this week.Shuler Jr., was a 7th round draft pick out of Penn State. He made the 53 man roster coming out of camp.

I don’t think this bodes well for Bear Pascoe’s as the Giants’ are looking to upgrade their tight ends. Don’t be shocked if another wavier claim or two come before the deadline.

This is why i think we should have gotten Tony G two years ago. Bad move not grabbing him.

I disagree. If we had wanted someone, we would have kept Shiancoe. They like Boss a lot, and they also thought Beckum would have been better.
