Kiwanuka out for Sunday’s game.

Osi Umeinyora’s knee has swelled up enough that the Giants have sent him to have his knee checked out further to make sure there is not more at play with his knee that could cause him to miss signifcant time. Also Mathias Kiwanuka has been ruled OUT for Sunday’s game with a bulging disk in his neck (the same type of ┬áinjury that led to Pierce’s eventual retirement).

(I saw this on The Blue Screen Ralph Vacchiano’s blog)

I think the Giants could live without Osi becuase Kiwanuka has been playing well, but his absence hurts a lot.

If you want to read my matchup analysis for this upcoming week (not updated to include the latest injury information) it is here.

A “Bear” of a matchup

Obviously, it seems that the Giants will be playing JPP more this weekend and we might even see some of Clint Sintim as DE.
