Thinking About The Texans

The Giants bounced back well next week. Now they need to continue. They take on the 3-1 Texans. Here are some things to think about before we take on the Texans.

-Arian Foster

Dude is having a big year. 537 yards–most in the league. 4 TDs. Combined with our old friend Derrick Ward, that’s a nice 1-2 punch. The Texans will look to run early and often. After all, the more they can avoid the suddenly fearsome pass rush of the Giants, the better. I think the Giants would be wise to put eight men in the box. Sure, you have to deal with a hobbled Andre Johnson, but you can have Phillips as a sort of rover on him. It could work.

-Rashad Butler

Don’t know him? Yeah, neither do most people. He’s the replacement for the Texans’ suspended stud left tackle Duane Brown. I know what you’re thinking: Tuck, or Osi, or JPP against some dude we don’t know. Should be fun. (just a note though: 10 sacks isn’t going to happen again. Not this week. Probably not again this season. That was a rare occurrence. Don’t expect it)

-Andre Johnson

One of the best receivers in football is dealing with an ankle issue that could cause him to miss Sunday’s game. If he does, it’s a coup for the Giants. If he doesn’t, even not at 100%, he’s still a huge threat, and, unless the Giants are physical with him at the line, and provide some safety help, it could be a long day. The Schaub-Johnson connection is a good one.
