Thoughts and Musings

That was a fun game to watch. Dominant on both sides of the ball. Maybe the Bears win wasn’t a fluke. Let’s dive right in, Thoughts and Musings:

-I love the Eli Manning-Hakeem Nicks connection. It’s a natural pair. Of course, the Texans couldn’t cover Nicks. But, I’m telling you, Nicks is well on his way to becoming a top 5 wide receiver in the NFL. He’s that good

-Good to see Brandon Jacobs running hard again. Seems to have accepted his backup role and is embracing it.

-Boy, this defense is good. Great pass rush. The key is that they get a pass rush with their front four, meaning they can sit back with the back 7 and make plays in the secondary. Reminds me of the 07 Giants.

-David Diehl, for the most part, kept Mario Williams in check. Good for him

-He didn’t have a huge game, but Ahmad Bradshaw is fun to watch. One of the best backs after contact.

-No Mario Manningham sightings and the passing offense was still good.

-Eli made some good throws.

-Friend interlude: Wish a happy birthday to my best friend since fifth grade, Nick.

-When will they bench Darius Reynaud? He offers nothing. Nothing. He seems due for a big mistake soon. I’d put Aaron Ross out there.

-We’re only seeing glimpses. But Jason Pierre-Paul is going to be a star. And soon.

-I love how the Giants fixed their mistakes from last week and played the same defensive game. Making the right adjustments is key.

-I like Sage Rosenfels as the holder. Lets Matt Dodge focus on punting.

-Speaking of Dodge, he’s been better. Not good. But he’s improving.

-The Giants just need to keep this up. If they do, they’ll be fine.

This was a beautiful game! this is the team that I’ve been waiting to see since Jerry Reese had that big spending spree in the 2009 offseason, everything is coming together, all the big free agents that Reese has picked up for us in the last two years with all the talent that was already here, the great decision to just draft Nicks and go with the recievers we have, to let D.Ward walk and let Bradshaw develop, its just great to finally see glimpses of the potential,i knew that Perry Fewell would make us into a great defense when he made miracles happen in Buffalo with talent thats incomparable to what we have.

#1 Defense in the league baby! #1 in total yards and against the pass! thats beautiful to be able to say after how terrible we were last year and top 10 vs the run! Go Giants…just wait until Kiwanuka,Keith Bulluck get back! the wonderful thing is that this is just the tip of the iceberg on Defense.

I think Its time to cut ties with Darius Reynaud or atleast bring in some returners to to wake up Darius or we need to bring in someone else and maybe….Madison Hedgecock might go also. I like Bear at fullback, he gives us more options in the passing game and blocks just as good.

A Ramses citing and he actually caught the ball this time.

the guys put it together today. Good performances 2 weeks in a row against 3 win teams bodes well. Last year still puts a bad taste in my mouth so I need to see a few more weeks where the team plays this well before I step away from the ledge.

Our D-line is playing out of their mind. Wow is the only word to describe it. Mario not getting any touches worries me. Is he not getting open? And Why don’t we throw to our TE? Grrr.

    Special teams is still atrocious.
