Giants to Spend the Night in KC; Will Try to Fly to Minnesota Sunday Morning

Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News reports that the Giants will now fly to Minnesota Sunday, but as of now, there’s been no word about a change in time for the game, which is slated for 1pm.

With a blizzard in Minnesota shutting down the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, the Giants have decided to spend the night in Kansas City, according to team spokesman Pat Hanlon. The team plane was diverted to the KC airport earlier today because of high winds and snow in Minneapolis.

They will attempt to resume their travel again on Sunday morning.

At the moment, that travel could include going straight from the Minneapolis airport when they arrive to the Metrodome, where they are scheduled to play the Vikings beginning at noon, Central Time, on Sunday. For the moment, the game time has not changed and earlier, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said “We’re not ruling out noon tomorrow under any scenario yet.”
