Tuck Headed To Alabama To Assist With Tornado Relief

Justin Tuck, the veteran Giants defensive lineman, is headed to his home state of Alabama today to assist in some tornado relief work. It was a gripping situation for him as he explained to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News how one twister came within two blocks of where his younger sister Brittany, a student at Alabama, lives in Tuscaloosa.

Tuck’s hometown of Kellyton, Ala., was spared from the devastation, but he knows many people who are victims of the April 27 storms. So Tuck has gotten together with JP Morgan Chase and World Vision, a Christian humanitarian group, and he’ll bring $275,000 in aid with him on the trip.

Tuck used $25,000 from his R.U.S.H. for Literacy program to donate to World Vision for the relief efforts. “I plan on doing just about everything I can when I’m down there,” Tuck said. “If that includes rebuilding homes or whatever it may be, I’m game for everything.”
