NFL Asks Court For More Time To File Reply In Antitrust Case

The NFL has asked a federal court in Minnesota to permit them to delay filing their reply to the antitrust lawsuit against itself until July 6th instead of Monday according to Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal.

The NFL also revealed the attorneys for the 10 players suing the league oppose the move. The league believes the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals will likely rule by early July on overturning the Minnesota Court’s decision to enjoin the lockout and that decision may cause the league to file a motion to dismiss.
