Tuck Acknowledges Tiki Barber Won’t Be Welcomed Back

It’s sounding more and more like members of the Giants are not all that much in favor of wanting Tiki Barber back on the squad. The latest to give his opinion on the subject is Justin Tuck.

Giants defensive end Just Tuck said former running back Tiki Barber “did kind of turn some guys off.” “Tiki burnt some bridges as he left the game, said some things that maybe he shouldn’t have said,” Tuck said. “If you look back, when he talked about Eli (Manning) and Coach (Tom) Coughlin, we won the Super Bowl right after that. It is unfortunate because a lot of people forget the fact of how well he played the game when he was here. He said some things leaving the game that kind of left people with sour tastes in their mouths and they don’t forget that.” Tuck said he wishes Barber the best and holds no grudges toward the running back. “I don’t wish anything negative on him but he just said some things that maybe he shouldn’t have said and that is kind of coming back to bite him right now,” Tuck said. “He led by example and let his play lead by example. He was never one of those guys that kind of was getting a hug, rah, rah, things of that nature which was fine. But he did kind of turn some people off with some of the things that he did the year that he was leaving. I guess he kind of knew he was leaving.”
