Source: Giants Interested in KR/WR Brad Smith

According to a source, the Giants are one of 8 current teams interested in free agent, and former Jets KR/WR Brad Smith. Among other teams interested are the Bills and Patriots. It’s unclear how interested the Giants are in Smith, but they’ve kicked the tired on him, that’s for sure.

Smith had two Kickoff Returns for touchdowns, and is a dangerous threat whenever on the field. Smith was the staple of the Jets “wildcat” offense last season. It remains a long shot that Smith will sign with the Giants. Will keep an eye on this as it develops, though.

really? Thats cool, Giants are thinking outside the box, first time for everything lol they’re getting with the times, Brad is super versatile

unless its a low contract or a contract heavy in the final years, then I think its a waste of limited funds

Agreed, with Jernigan and Hixon around, and NO Seubert or O’Hara, the interior line is going to need A LOT of attention after we sign our own guys. TE will be next, and possibly RB (if Bradshaw walks). KR/WR (if you can call him a WR) will be damn near the bottom of our needs list.

I thought it would be a great idea till the i heard o hara and Seubert are gonna be cut. O-Line is a bit more important then Special Teams but still having him would be great but we have Hixon and Jernigan so idk what exactly the Giants are thinking.

  4. Joe says:

It is jerrnigan is going to take a spot so its smith/hixon/cruz for the last spots. He would not be worth it. Bigger need at center.

would be a great fit…all for it
