TE Ben Patrick to Visit Giants

Free agent TE Ben Patrick will visit the Giants tomorrow, according to Mike Garafolo. The Giants will gauge the interest of Patrick and consider him as a backup plan incase they fail to re-sign TE Kevin Boss. This could be a way to nudge Boss to agree to there offer quicker. Will see.

This random, relatively greenhorn guy as a replacement for Boss?? Are you kidding me?? Unless he is an amazing blocking TE, there is no benefit with this route… significant downgrade.

Enough with the bullshit. The Front Office has done such a terrible job… they need to salvage at least something by signing Boss to a deal.

    Just get it done.

  2. Jared says:

Boss, Bradshaw and Smith! I would have been alright with Heap over Boss but come on, somethings gotta give soon!

  3. JW says:

Seems to be a way for them, at least they think, to give Boss a nudge to sign already. They don’t want to play this game anymore. However, guys can’t sign until August 4th so they can wait it out. But the Giants, simply can’t.

  4. CMH says:

Let’s not pretend that Ben Patrick can fill Boss’ role. If Boss isn’t coming back we better be adding Z Miller.

  5. Jason C. says:

Honestly, anyone can fill Boss’ role, he’s a glorified number 2 TE, there’s plenty of those on the market.

  6. DLS says:

CMH I agree with you on Patrick … He’s a great player all around. Only reason he didnt put up big #’s is because the Cards dont use there TE like they should. Giants fans you should be stoked if he comes over to your team.

  7. HEU says:

Yeah Ben Patrick is a pass catching TE. He’s got great ability. Arizona didn’t use the TE very much. They only threw to him 17 times last year and he caught 15 balls. Patrick made an amazing touchdown catch in the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh in 2009. Just wait and see Giants fans!!
