CB Bruce Johnson Ruptures Achilles Tendon, Likely out for Season

Giants CB Bruce Johnson was having a solid training camp thus far. He was making the most of his time while rookie CB Prince Amukamara is not in camp with a contract dispute. His time has ended. Johnson ruptured his achilles tendon today in practice, likely ending his season. More to you as we get it, but it doesn’t look good.

Johnson played in 5 games last season before hurting his knee and missing the remainder of the season. As an UDFA in 2009, Johnson played in all 16 games, making 46 tackles and having two touchdowns, one which was an 83-yard touchdown. A very tough, tough break for the a good kid.
