Giants WR Nicks, DE Tuck not practicing Thursday
Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks hasn’t been listed on the Giants’ injury report since playing against the Rams in Week two, however, that doesn’t necessarily mean he hasn’t been hurting according to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger. The North Carolina product, who was being watched closely by trainers as he warmed up before Sunday’s [...]
As Manningham comes, Stokley goes
As WR Mario Manningham returns from a concussion, it appears Brandon Stokley goes. At-least for now. The Giants lost receiver Brandon Stokley to what they are calling “a strained quad.” The details are not clear because the injury occurred during practice, after the portion the media is allowed to watch. The Giants, banged up and all, are about to get a little, shall I say, healthy? Yes. It appears to be the case. Slowly, though. They work better on the outside, by the sideline. If you notice, every time Cruz has made an impact (that [...]
Giants QB Manning named NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Eli Manning has been rewarded the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award after passing for 254 yards and four touchdowns against the Eagles. The Ole Miss product is well-deserving of the honors, however, he should take Victor Cruz out for a nice steak dinner. The former Minuteman easily could’ve earned the award, too.
Source: Giants DE Umenyiora has a “50-50″ chance of playing at Cardinals
Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora has a “50-50″ chance of playing Sunday in Arizona according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News who cites a source. It likely will depend on the amount of swelling in his knee this week.
A Note On After The Play Activity
I might be what some people call old-school. I believe in establishing the running game. Getting after the passer. Stuffing the run. Nothing fancy. Just good, old fashioned football. Which is why I’m so annoyed about all the after the play crap that happened in the Giants Eagles game. I do understand emotion, and having [...]
