OFFENSE:

The Giants offense looked cluttered last week. The line was not good, but the running game wasn’t terrible. Pass blocking was not good, and needs to improve. The Giants need to get the passing game going, first by protecting Eli and then by involving Nicks (if he plays) and Manningham more. New addition Brandon Stokley should help, but his first game as a Giant might not see him do much, as he’s still learning the playbook. I think getting Eli moving out of the pocket might help, but the cause of the problem, the poor pass protection, really needs to be addressed. Some of it, I think, is due to the lack of chemistry on the line, and that will come with time. But time runs out quickly in the NFL. I think the running game will get going, and that will propel them.

DEFENSE:

The Rams are banged up on offense, which should help the defense. They need to improve pass coverage, and the Rams are a good team to start doing that against. They just aren’t a great vertical team. I think getting back to the basics is important. Getting after the QB. Clogging up the middle. Making the tackles when they are there. Nothing fancy. I think the Giants should abandon zone coverage, and stick to man. The Giants are just not playing well in zone coverage, and I think they have the chops to play man.

THE RAMS:

The Rams, as I said above, are banged up. Danny Amendola is doubtful. Steven Jackson is questionable. Sam Bradford is probable. Right tackle Jason Smith is questionable. Not good. The Rams didn’t look great against the Eagles, although they were able to run the ball, first with Jackson, and then after he got hurt, Cadillac Williams. The Rams are going to try to establish the run, and if the Giants can stop that, they will be fine. If not, they are in for a long day. The Rams do not have a good passing game, especially with Amendola out. I think it would be wise to put eight men in the box. The Rams defense couldn’t really stop the Eagles, but I’m not sure many can. Chris Long and James Laurinaitis are terrific players, but the Rams aren’t an especially great defensive team. They’re good. I think getting the ball deep is the key. The secondary isn’t great, and making them work is key.

PREDICTION:

Knowing the Giants, after last week, there are two possible options: Either they lose a close game, or win in a blowout. And there’s no in between. It could go either way, but I think, with all the injuries to the Rams, the Giants should be okay. FINAL SCORE: Giants 21, Rams 13

Option A: Giants lose a close game.
Option B: Giants win in a blowout.

YOUR PREDICTION: Giants win 21 to 13. CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG BUT I DON’T CONSIDER WINNING BY 8 POINTS TO BE A BLOWOUT, and it certainly isn’t the giants losing a close game. this makes absolutley no sense, get your stuff together.

WE NEED TO ESTABLISH THE RUN GAME….i have a good feeling Jacobs is going to have a sick game. Lets make this game a run-happy game, and I’m happy.

    LETS GO G-MEN
