Giants Hold On, Win 27-24

That’s not a win you want to scream about, but hey, a win’s a win, as the Giants beat the Bills 27-24.

Giants started off the scoring on a 1 yard Ahmad Bradshaw touchdown run. Just six seconds later, the Bills tied it on a 80 yard touchdown run by Fred Jackson. The Bills followed that up with a 60 yard touchdown pass to Naaman Roosevelt. Lawrnece Tynes hit a field goal to make it 14-10. Ahmad Bradshaw added another one yard TD run to make it 17-14. As the half ended, the Bills added a field goal to tie it up at 17.

Ahmad Bradshaw started the third off with another one yard touchdown, his third of the day. Stevie Johnson tied the game in the 4th on a nine yard touchdown catch. Giants added a field goal late to take the lead

Other than the two big plays, the Giants defense was pretty good. Good pressure. Both interceptions  by Webster were  huge. They had trouble with Fred Jackson, but then again, who hasn’t. I love the effort to play tighter defense. Shows some of the heart that has been lacking.

I think this might have been the best the offense has played all year. Eli Manning was fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Jake Ballard stepped up and was great. Ahmad Bradshaw had 3 touchdowns. They were methodical, they moved the ball down the field really well, kept the Bills, for the most part, off the field.

It wasn’t pretty, but they pulled it off. Nice win heading into the bye.

Chris, it is nice to hear a smart comment from a real Giants fan. Eli was GREAT today. A true leader. He was in command of the offense all day and is the number one reason we came away with a victory. I am so sick of all the Eli haters out there blaming him for everything. He is the field general, and we are lucky to have him. Big Blue forever! Great win. First place is first place

Gave up some big plays but stayed in it against a really good Bills Team! We gotta get better against the run! 1st place in the NFC East here we come!!!

Eli played a good game but there were a few over thrown passes. One to Cruz on the last drive of the second quarter stands out. Cruz dropped a few key passes and the drop by manningham was a killer.
Seemed like the safteys had one hell of a time today and Tryon is TERRIBLE.

Glad to see they didnt abandon the run. Brandshaw showed what he was made of and Ballard is the man. They need to use him more often.

Cant wait to see how a healthy team plays after the bi-week

    Great win!!!
-Food for thought: Bradshaw’s first 100yard game this year, comes on the day Pascoe starts at fullback. Is Hynoski not getting the job done?
Lets remember this was the same Pascoe who played full back pretty much all last season and the running results were very good.
Or maybe..the o-line is starting to get more comfortable with each other and will begin to improve weekly.

    Regardless, great win.
Rest up, get healthy, and see you in 2 weeks.

    Go Blue.

Happy for the win, but I have to talk about the negatives here.
-False starts and holdings have to STOP, either that or we need to get them called on the other side too.
-What’s with all the off-coverage? They’re running hook, curl, and out routes all day on us because of this, they need to change up the coverages more, I understand not wanting to give up the big play to the outside, but they gave up the big plays on the inside this game because of the soft coverages.
-It’s about time Nicks got the interference calls, I’m sick of seeing him getting manhandled without a flag, it’s taking away from his effectiveness, I mean the guy had 96 yards and another big chunk on interference calls, he’s becoming quite a threat.
-Still dropping balls, but at least not dropping them right into the hands of the defense. Great job protecting the ball from the top turnover team in the league.
-I fear playing the Cowboys, we can’t stop the screen pass and that’s ALL they run.
-That big doofus David Nelson got away with a couple push offs, most of them unnecessary to begin with.
-Finally, can’t this crowd get into the game before the final fourth quarter defensive stand? Step the hell up people! The team’s that dominate at home get loud on EVERY snap of EVERY defensive drive, don’t blame them for not winning at home if you’re not giving them the advantage they deserve. If this is a problem for you, give up your tickets, I’ll gladly get loud for you.
