Pair of Big Blue defenders fined

The NFL has fined Giants safety Antrel Rolle $15,000 and defensive tackle Linval Joseph $7,500 for their actions in the 20-17 win over the Dolphins.

Rolle was fined for making a horse-collar tackle on running back Reggie Bush at the end of a 35-yard run in the second quarter. He was penalized on the play.

Joseph was fined for a late hit after the Giants stopped running back Steve Slaton on a first and goal from the New York 1. He also was penalized.

Rolle was fined $20,000 for spearing Washington tight end Fred Davis in the first game of the season, as well.

Everytime I read about these fines it makes me chuckle looking back a few weeks when Polamalu and Ray Rice were involved in a full fledged throwdown fist fight and neither were penalized, ejected, or fined. Good job NFL!! (Polamalu was fined in that game, but for a horsecollar tackle…)
