Manningham added to Injury Report – listed as Questionable

The Giants have added wide receiver Mario Manningham to their injury report, Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger reports.

The former Wolverine standout is now listed as “Questionable” for Sunday’s showdown against the 49ers with a knee injury.

In seven games this season, Manningham has 27 receptions for 323 yards and two touchdowns, both of which have come in the last two weeks.

This will be big. Nicks thinks he might be able to go, but he obviously won’t be 100%. The Giants WRs and TEs have come up big when Eli has needed them, but a depleted/injured crew can only do this for so long. Hopefully the bye week has allowed most injuries to heal, but if the Giants want to make a true playoff run, they need to get their position players healthy. Without a stout defense like in 2007, the offense needs to lead them.

I think he’ll play. At this point of the season very few players are 100%. That’s why it’s so important to get your young players some time on the field so they can come in later in the season, fresh and make some plays.

Other teams are also dealing with injuries, but I swear the Giants are the only one’s that have phantom injuries that come out of nowhere. We can’t go without both Manningham AND Nicks, I’d prefer both, but we need at least one, especially without Bradshaw.
