Your Take: Jets Giants

The New York media is making a huge deal out of Saturday’s game between the Jets and Giants. There are playoff implications for both teams. But this is also about the rivalry.

I’ve never considered the two teams “rivals”. Hard to be when you play a meaningful game once every 4 years.

But what do you think? Is this a rivalry game? Are the Jets one of your hated teams? Let us know.

As I Giants fan, the Jets are irrelevant to me but Rex and his big mouth have made it a must win game.

Of course it’s a rivalry, I bet it’s more of one between the players then even the fans. It’s all about bragging rights and that’s huge for ego driven athletes. Lets face it most athletes have huge egos and rightfully so. They all know each other and hang together more than the fans know. Plus there is that thing about playing in the same stadium.

So yes, without a doubt there is a rivalry and on many levels.

The question is do you buy into it or not. I don’t….

I actually used to cheer for the Jets when they weren’t playing the Giants but ever since Rex Ryan showed up I hate them almost as much as the Cowboys and Eagles. I can’t stand the whole Ryan family. Rob Ryan is just as much of a loud mouth all talk no action coach as his brother. They got nothing to show for their talk oh what two trips to the AFC Championship? That doesn’t make your fingers shine my fired. No rings!!!!

I will save my time as you have pretty much expressed all I wanted to say, though I will add, a win would be nice to shut up the new Jets fans, you know, the one’s that think the Jets won the Super Bowl more recently than the Giants.
