Giants Win 24-2, Face Green Bay Next Week

The Giants are going to Green Bay, as they beat the Falcons 24-2. Nicks had 2 TDs, Manningham added one and the defense pitched a shutout, a safety the only blemish by the offense. The run game was dominant as was the defense. Ross and Ware did leave with concussions. This was the first complete game all year and they are hot going in to Green Bay. The start of a run? We’ll see. But a good start to the playoffs and the first playoff win at MetLife

Well isn’t this getting awfully reminiscent of 07…

how can the guy get killed for what happened during the middle of the season and get no love… I mean no love, for how good they have been here during this three week run. The defense is back and everyone calling for Fewell’s job should be called out for the fake fans they are! People asking for Spags back before the season is even over, this guy is not Sheridan. He knows how to coach. The just pitched a shut out during a play off game!

    Eat it Micheal Kay!

    Great game all around.

The only thing that bothered me was when Nicks made the long TD run, and Cruz was right beside jumping up and down in excitement like a Labrador waiting for him to finish his TD dance to congratulate him, and it looked like Nicks snubbed him.

Could Nicks be a little jealous of all the attention Cruz is getting?

    Felling a little overshadowed?

Why be mad at Cruz for getting attention and ultimately freeing Nicks up on more plays?

      stop reading into things…..

he was just finishing his dirty bird dance

I noticed the snub too and how Manningham hasn’t done anything until today. I’m trying not to read anything into it but it did look strange.

They(Atlanta) cut off Cruz and the other 2 WRs stepped up so that’s all that counts right now. Everybody has to step up to win, period. Ego aside, everything else aside, do your job, don’t make mistakes and step it up into greatness.

I kinda noticed the snub too.. I hope it was just an us overreacting to it – ive heard nothing from anyone all week so I’m going with just our reading into to deeply

Huge credit to Fewell. Loved his 3 DT look. Ane he’s great at rotating the LBs to keep everyone fresh. Gilbride made some bad calls early but overall was great. Terrific balance and did a nice job at re incorporating Mario into the gameplan.

If they play like the second half we will have another super bowl. Killdrive did mention he went conservative last game and learned from it. Like I blogged you have to score and keep on scoring in the NFL now. It’s 2012 not 1990.

What was with the brain freeze by TC? That was strange……

The officiating in this game was disgusting. They missed potential game changing calls. Nicks was being treated like a woman running into Ben Roethlisberger in a bathroom on that one play in the endzone (we all know what play that’s how obvious it was), a HORRIBLE spot on a clear first down at the end of the first half (which even Pereira said should’ve been stopped by the replay official because it was so clearly spotted wrong), NO holding calls on Atlanta? really? (not even when they tackled people on the way to the Ryan), they missed a blatant punch by Roddy White, but flag Williams for unnecessary roughness on a hard tackle?? 7 penalties in all (73 yards), while the Falcons had 3 for 15 (a false start, an offsides, and a delay of game). In a game that (horrible) announcer Joe Buck said was getting “chippy” about 4 times, that doesn’t seem like a legit stat line. Until something gives with this horribly one sided officiating, I can’t have faith that the Giants can win a game that the league doesn’t want them to win.
That said, BJ played like a man today, a real grown ass man. That woke everybody up. Nicks and Manningham (late) took advantage of all the attention on Cruz, as did Bradshaw who was insanely open underneath finally making it look easy for Eli. If they bring this same defensive prowess into Green Bay we have a shot of winning, let’s hope for snow.
Oh, and let’s hope Tynes got that missing chip shot field goals crap out of his system.
    GO BLUE!
