Giants Packers Halftime Thoughts

An entertaining first half, marked by some bad calls and missed opportunities and a hail mary. 20-10 Giants at the half

Giants offense can move the ball, despite the Eli pick. The first drive of the game was classic. Run game hasn’t dome much yet, but it’s clear that, given time, Eli and the boys will move the ball down the field. Another big game by Hakeem Nicks with his 66 yard touchdown. They’ve stalled a bit and not getting points after the recovered onside kick hurt. But the hail mary at the end was incredible. Keep that momentum going.

No real pressure, although turnovers and dropped passes are keeping the D in it. Should have had one more fumble, but the refs didn’t see it that way. Need to increase pressure. Coverage has been good, for the most part. Containing Rodgers, making sure he doesn’t run is key. I’ve seen nothing from JPP and Osi. Need to pick that up.

It’s a close game, and it’s going to be that way for the remainder. Need to score when you can, not turn the ball over and keep moving the ball through the air. Turn on the pressure, and they can pull this off.

    Should be 17-3
That was the biggest BS call ever made. In the history of football. That ball was definitely coming lose before the knee was down.

Totally agree, Russo. The head official needs to be disciplined for this crap. That missed fumble call temporarily changed the entire momentum of the game. He also later missed a blow to Eli’s head that should have been called. It’s tough enough to beat the Pack, we shouldn’t have to beat the refs, as well.

Third vote for that. G-men robbed. Looks like a laugher in Green Bay, except the laugh’s on the home team.

More bad calls and the Giants in anyway. Referees must of bet on GB!
