Beckum and Ballard To Start Season On PUP

Really bad news for the Giants. Both Travis Beckum and Jake Ballard are expected to start the season on the physically unable to perform list. This means they’ll be out at least for the first six weeks. This only intensifies the Giants’ need for a tight end. They could draft one, like Orson Charles from Georgia or Dwayne Allen from Clemson. Or they could sign one. Top choices (that aren’t likely to be franchised) include Martellus Bennett and John Carlson. Will be interesting to see what the Giants do.
