Manning Restructures Contract

Eli Manning is a team player. To help save the Giants money, he restructured his contract. This year, his cap hit will be $9.6 million, down from $16.35 million,  which saves the Giants $6.75 million cap room. His cap number will go up in future years, but for now, the Giants have an extra $6.75 million to work with.

That’s the money for a new middle linebacker.

Awesome but I think the way he restructured it he is not losing any money. I think he is getting it in the way of a signing bonus or something.
