Tollefson Not Expected Back

Dave Tollefson is not expected back with the Giants. The free agent is set to hit the market, and it doesn’t appear the team and the defensive end will come to an agreement. I don’t get this one. Tollefson is very valuable as a reserve end. He can get after the passer. He had 5 sacks last year. Plus, he can move inside on third downs. Unless Tollefson believes he can be a starter elsewhere (which is possible), then the move doesn’t make sense for the Giants. The Giants will most likely look for a replacement in the draft.

There is going to be a big turnover with the Giants roster, Reese said that. It’s not only he Giants though, every team has to get under that cap. The Redskins took a hard hit to their cap and so did the Cowboys because they did something the league told them not to do.

So many players are going to find out they are not going to get the money that they deserve, welcome to the new united states of America. It’s not just the NFL, it’s everybody.

There will be a lot of openings for UDFAs this season. Many lower tier veteran players will be sitting home waiting to get a call. Some will, some won’t when the injures start mounting for teams.

i think the key word is reserve… he can prolly get more money and playing time somewhere’s else (or at least that’s what his agent is telling him)… it’s also possible the giants are letting the rest of the league set his value which is what i think they are doing with jacobs also… also i just read boss got released by the raiders.. do u think the giants will go after him?
