Ross Goes To Jacksonville

Aaron Ross is becoming a Jaguar. The former first round draft pick of the Giants is getting a 3 year, $15.3 million deal. Ross had his best year this past season, when he was forced into actions due to injury, but his Giants career has been marked by inconsistency and injuries. He’s had more bad games than good games.

The Giants do have depth at corner. Corey Webster, Terrell Thomas and Prince Amukamara will get the majority of playing time. Michael Coe, Bruce Johnson and Justin Tryon will provide depth. I still think one more corner is needed, perhaps through the draft.

Good luck to Ross inĀ Jacksonville. He did help the Giants win two Super Bowls, despite his poor play in between.

To think he was rated “slightly ” below Revis in college . I wonder how they rate against each other now LOL .

It was amazing that during that draft it was Derrell Revis and closely behind him was Ross. They were rated very close, so much for all the experts, who knew. That was a time Reese should have moved to take Revis who it was said he wanted much more than Ross, who he settled for, 20/20 hindsight from me.

I think his big issue was staying healthy, you can’t play 100% when injured and a position like CB you need to be 100%. I like Ross, he seems like a good guy but he is replaceable.

The Sheagles trade a 4th (and swap 3rds) to Houston for DeMeco Ryans.
He was very good in their 4-3 a couple of seasons back, played way less in the 3-4. Should be a good move for them, he’s still under contract for 4 years.

The Jets continue to be a source of off-season amusement. Now after pledging true love to Sanchez a “source” announces that they are interested in Tim Tebow. This should do wonders for Markie’s fragile psyche. Apparently the Jets consider getting the back pages to be the equivalent of a Super Bowl.
They are a very strange team.
