Tollefson, Goff Make Visits Elsewhere

Dave Tollefson and Jon Goff are making free agent visits this week. Tollefson is visiting the Seahawks and Goff is visiting the Browns. Tollefson also has interest from the Packers and Bucs. Tollefson is expected to go elsewhere, but I’m sure the Giants want him back.

What are we doing at MLB? I just feel like we’ve gone sooooo many years ignoring the importance of that position.I know its hard to argue with 2 superbowls in 4 years but man I would love for us to have a rock in the middle like AP was and like Ray and Willis are for their teams.Curtis Lofton really seems like a solid choice.A young veteran that just needs a little work in coverage for the type of D we play but thats not an issue with the solid coaching staff we have.I know its kind of weird that no one has signed Lofton yet but look at Stephen Tulloch last year he didn’t get the deal he wanted and had to sign on a 1 yr deal with the Lions and he played great.Look at the deal the Eagles pulled off for Demeco.Maybe Don’ta Hightower is there at 32 who I think is the best MLB in the draft with his size/speed combo plus his football I.Q or maybe Mychael Kendricks at the end of the 2nd I don’t know but we really need to end this search already.I do like what I saw out of Herzlich but other then him we don’t have anything at MLB unless we move Boley inside and have J.Will play weakside full time which is also an option.

I think Tollefson priced himself out and will sign somewhere else. Goff if healthy too might get more money somewhere else, there aren’t many even average middle linebackers if you run a 4-3. This proves my point if anybody read some of my earlier articles about college linebackers.

The answer to the question is this, sign Lofton or move down to get Kuechly who is a gamble or draft Nigel Bradham who I think is the second best pure 4-3 linebacker in the draft. I have a gut feeling Bradham will be a Giants. He’s Reese’s type of player, he can play all 3 positions and is NFL ready.

ON another issue, WTF are the Jets doing? This team has been mismanaged for years. Mangininvwas actually a good coach and they stuck him with Farve then blamed everything on Mangini. A no class outfit. What are they going to do with three QBs now? Talk about dividing a locker room. Losers…..

The Jets should take notes from Jerry Reese he works right next door. This is how you put a team together morons.

I will be real happy for Tellefson if he gets a nice pay day. He works really hard and can be a number 3 DE on most teams. Maybe even start… that is a big maybe. Great motor. Wished he stay but he deserves the chance. Goff I think is better off staying, he only had one great year before the injury. I doubt cle is going to offer him great money (maybe they will) I say take a short deal and stay in a system you know.

I am not in a big hurry to fix MLB, we won a ring with Chase freaking Blackburn. We’ll be fine. Something will shake out.
