Giants Re-Sign Chase Blackburn

The Giants have re-signed Chase Blackburn to a one year deal, according to reports. Blackburn re-joined the team midseason, and played a big role in helping the team win a Super Bowl. His INT in the Super Bowl was a turning point. Blackburn is limited athletically, but he’s smart, knows the system, and makes those around him better. Goes all-out and is valuable on special teams. Good for him.

  1. Jason C. says:

    Good for us too.

  2. Big Daddy says:

Good, worst case he still is a leader on special teams and has 2 super bowl rings.

He’s the kind of core player that comes in and saves the day. A starter, no, a fill in when people are not 100% YES. I think he earned his place here. He had some injury issues which limited his play which was already marginal, at 100% he’s not bad, at less he’s not that good.

He can also play the SAM. This was a good move for the emotional aspect of the team which will be so important with such a difficult schedule. Does this mean he can get his number back?

I still would like to see Nigel Bradham in a Giants uniform.
