Posted in The Giants took UAB OT Matt McCants with their 6th round pick. McCants is huge, at 6-6, with a huge wingspan. Only started playing football his senior year of high school (was a tuba player). Has good movement skills and left tackle feet. Plays hard. But is raw, and needs more experience. He’s also facing a jump competition. McCants would also do well to bulk up. Has all the tools, needs to be groomed. Interesting that after the Brewer pick last year, they come back this year with McCants and Mosely. But McCants has elite potential, but that’s all it is right now, potential.
