Goff Signs with Redskins

Jonathan Goff has signed with the Redskins. The former starting middle linebacker missed all of last season with a torn ACL. It’s hard to know what his effectiveness will be. However, when healthy, Goff is a solid run stopper. The need for Goff dissipated after the success with the Big Nickel package and the acquisition of Keith Rivers. Goff will be competing for a starting spot alongside London Fletcher.

    Damn ACL.

I think he was good enough to play in the middle of our defense as we’re not looking for stars at the LB position.
Obviously his injury is deemed too serious by the staff to bring him back. Thomas, Kiwanuka and probably others I’m forgetting : we’re not afraid to sign starters coming back from injuries to “prove you can play” deals.
Yet we let Goff go. What does this say about his knee ?
