So says Evan Silva:
Wouldn’t be surprised if Wilson ran circles around Bradshaw in Aug. Ferocious runner, laterally elusive, game-breaking acceleration. #baller

I agree with the latter part of the statement. But I don’t know if he’ll be the starter. I think the plan is to use his speed as a change of pace, at least early on. He needs to work on pass protection and becoming a better third down back. But you have to be excited about his skill-set and what he can bring.

Not happening unless Bradshaw gets hurt… and maybe not then. He has a lot to learn and the Giants don’t usually give rookies huge roles when they have other options.
There’s something so many forget, it’s called blocking. No matter how good Wilson is if he can’t block he sits. They won’t risk Eli’s health on a non-blocking rookie RB.
No doubt he can run and catch, no doubt in time he will be the starting RB for the Giants. But until he can pickup blitzing big guys and block them he sits.
It’s an element, but DJ Ware is just a decent blocker and he got snaps.
So yes, I agree, but I also believe that Wilson might master a few blocking assignment come september, and that might be enough.
I was browsing Wikipedia and noticed that the Giants are the first franchise with NFL titles in 7 different decades (1920, 1930, 1950, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010).
Who the F is Evan Silva?
