-Relatively smooth start to camp. No major injuries. Justin Trattou has a sprained foot. Terrell Thomas’ back seems to be fine. Nothing major, so that’s good.
-Obviously, hard to really identify breakout stars this early.
-But Jernigan seems to be having a good camp. Barden, as always. David Wilson is impressing with speed.
-Again, it’s early. Now you just want things to go smoothly.
-Mark Herzlich made a nice play yesterday. Outside shot at being the starting Mike.
-Either way, will be a valued contributor. Still surprised he wasn’t drafted.
-Big thing: the stars (Eli, Cruz, etc) are on track. Not gonna be perfect, but at least rounding into form.
-I think a Cruz contract will be done at some point. But understand Giants being slow: Only one year of production, worries about one year wonder, etc. But it will get done, I think at some point before the season.
-I think that Jernigan is going to continue and have a great camp. Always liked him. Could secure that third spot.
-Seems like Randle is doing well.
-The rookie are going to have some bad days, just because it’s all new. So don’t read too much into it.
-David Carr isn’t doing much, but Eli’s the man so who cares.
-I think this article will you give a lot of perspective on football. Article is about concussions and football.
-Football is an amazing sport and we love it. But there’s go to be a way to make it safer. Maybe make the helmets better, but I have no idea about the technology and what it does and how it could help.
-I’m not saying to get rid of hitting, I’m just saying to make it smarter and safer. There’s no need for players to die because they played the game they love.
-Weather interlude: How weird is this weather? Seriously, it rains one minute, sunny the next.
-I’m looking forward to the first preseason game. See some of the youngsters at work, see some new schemes perhaps. Hard to get a grasp from camp.

-Olympic interlude: Obsessed with Olympics? So am I. Every time, just get so into it.
-Opening ceremonies were a bit weird, though.
