The Giants are defending champs.
The Jets are an average team with two less than average quarterbacks battling it out.
And yet, all focus is on Jets.
Can someone explain this? But in any case, this is how the Giants like it.

This is how the media works. They manufacture things to talk about, it’s not about the truth or what’s real, it’s about how they can get people’s interest. It’s about selling their wares and making money like any other business. The more sensational the better.
It’s an issue in American society. People seem more interested in fantasy than reality. People are more interested in human suffering and conflict than harmony.
The Giants as an organization preach harmony and hard work. That’s why they have two super bowl wins in the past few years. The Jets talk bad about each other, their GM fails to draft well and signs or trades for players that will automatically get them in the media for attention rather than win football games.
At one time I would watch Jet games and have been since Joe Namath was their QB. After the firing of Mangini I have not watched a Jet game. I do not support in any way throwing a coach or anybody under the bus. That’s what they did with Mangini.
Look at all the coverage Clay Matthews has gotten for that stupid statement he made. The Giants players all handled it perfectly, like men not like Matthews whose statement was childish but got so much attention.
its about drama. it has nothing to do with who is better but who can create the most controversy. Giants biggest controversy has been Osi vs Reese which is over or David Diehl DUI which disappeared because Scott is not a controversial type player. Jets is all issues whether its the Plax signing last offseason or the Tebow trade this offseason. Media likes to bate the players. Giants didn’t fall for the media assisted Jerry Jones controversial bate or the Victor Cruz underpaid bate. It was like when Herm Edwards was coaching the Jets. He gives them quotables. Something to write about. forget actual product. That will be talked about when we are a few games in. I don’t care about the attention Jets has been getting because for the most part, its negative attention. In the past I did get upset because they associated Superbowl with the Jets unjustifiably. Now if they say Jets are better, then I have an issue. We don’t have a corner calling himself the teams 2nd best WR.
Having a corner as your second best widereceiver says all you need to know about the talent level of their offense. They let Cotchery leave and they trade for Tebow.
God himself, couldn’t save the Jets’ floundering franchise!!
Well Cotchery asked for his release, I mean it was obvious that he was a respectable person on and off the field so he really had no place with most of what that team stands for. I really do feel bad for Mark Sanchez, I didn’t like him coming in to the NFL, too cocky, too laid back, too West Coast, but he showed me something, even though he isn’t that great of a QB, he tries to win with his limited assets and for the most part does a great job. Tannenbaum however should be fired yesterday, he has no clue how to build a winning organization (ex. Mangold misses three games, they lose all three games, then cut the backup C when Mangold returns), you win with depth, the last 2 SB Champs had tons of injury issues, but had guys step up when needed.
The G-men will always dominate the Jets as long as Rex is calling the shots… overated.
I revel the minimum attention we consistently receive over the off season. I wish there was a third team to take more attention away. When are the Bills moving to Brooklyn?
Yea but you know what scares me? Nobody is talking about the Packers. If anybody is under the radar it is the scariest team in the NFC.
The explanation is easy, it’s hard not to echo most sports writers and radio show hosts, but the Jets higher ups have absolutely no problem with surrounding their team with a circus-like atmosphere, while the Giants organization try to run things in a business-like fashion. What the Jets did this year with “The Tebow and Cro Show” (I should trademark that haha) is low even for their standards, can’t wait for the game next Saturday, gonna be a fun time!!
Right on, as if Rex Ryan wasnt enough of a clown. They really have brought the cicus to town. The Giants are the white to their black, the up to their down. We are clearly the better club. THE END.
