NY Giants 7 – Baltimore Ravens 24 Halftime Thoughts

The NY Giants look flat once again. It is now halftime and the G-Men are losing to the Baltimore Ravens  24-7. The defense continues to have trouble stopping the run; Ray Rice 13 car. 62 yds. 4 rec. 37 yds. 1 TD.  The Giants secondary is pathetic; allowing 202 yds passing yds.

Time of possession was a huge concern with the Ravens controlling the ball and Joe Flacco looking like a HOF quarterback. The Giants look defeated mentally and physically. It is obvious, last weeks loss to the Falcons is lingering in their minds.

Gabbers, do you think the Giants shots of making the playoffs are over? Your thoughts….

Being that we lost today does anyone know what has to happen next week for us to make playoffs? I know Dallas has to lose but what else?

long off season.. Webster has got to go..they still need real leaders on this team. Injuries really killed them.

    • Carlos Colon says:

you are absolutely correct; Webster looks real slow and every WR is beating him in single coverage. AJ Green (wr, bengals) said it best, the giants defense has alot of holes. We continue to witness that every single week. Thanks for reading and continue to keep tabs on Giants info at

The Giants defense, as ive said 100 times before, really sucks.. halftime, 24 pts, 290 yards. just horrific.. something has to be done.. their season is over, and they should flat out be embarrased by their play.. heck, next week, we can watch the Eagles lump up the Giants in the finale… great way to end a crappy season.. good riddance Fewell..

    • Carlos Colon says:

      My man Dave,

you want to give Fewell the benefit of the doubt but the defense has been below average at best in these despicable losses. The NFL will catch up to your tendencies and it is up to Perry Fewell to change it up once in a while. Im not sure if Fewell stays but I would not be surprised if he stays. The Mara family is loyal to their people and may give him another shot if he has another year in his contract.

If you do not tackle, block for your quarterback, catch the football, and play penalty free, you do not win games. It is really tough to repeat a championship but losing like this is unbearable.

    • Carlos Colon says:

Saints helped the Giants out by beating the cowboys in OT so giants are still mathematically in it. Their chances are extremely limited now more than ever. Thank you for reading my article. Be sure to keep tabs and watch for more coverage at

I will hand it to them they know how to lose well. They are just getting blown out. I am hopeful for a decent draft pick. I think we could get a solid CB in the middle of the draft?

    FIRE Cory Webster

  7. hall503 says:

Cory Webster – you are making LSU look silly
    Quit as a MAN
You are done as a DB

    Giants Playoff Scenario…

    Lions beat Bears
    Packers beat Vikings
    Redskins beat Cowboys
    Giants beat Eagles

and They are in.. Its not completely hopeless… Packers wanna beat Vikings to secure the 2nd seed and Lions wanna feed Megatron so he can build on his new season record plus Jay Cutler sucks. I really don’t see the Cowboys beating RG3 either. So I am saying theres a chance!!!!

The Bears are overrated, but the Lions are probably the worst team in years. Us Giants fans get frustrated when they can’t punch it in the endzone, Stafford threw for around 450 yards with ZERO TD passes last week, now THAT has to be frustrating. I expect more of the same from the Lions and everything else to work out in our favor meaning we lose out on a playoff shot to probably the only team that’s been more pathetic than us over the past couple of months.

ANyone really care to see NY sneak into the playoffs? I dont. I’d prefer a draft pick at this point over going 1 and done and Gilbride and Fewell catching less heat because “they made the playoffs”

I love the giants, dont miss a game. But they need an overhaul and the only way to get it is to lose out. TC and Mara are way to loyal to make drastic changes one season shy if a SB if they make it to the playoffs, dispite going 2-6 on the last 8 games.

    • Carlos Colon says:

Your points are valid however, the Giants do still have a “punchers chance” with all the scenario’s previously mentioned. The Giants should not have gotten to this point so in hindsight, they do not deserve to get into the playoffs.

The reason why the Mara’s do don’t what the every other NFL owner does has been their secret to having one of the most successful nfl franchises since the nfl started, the Rooney’s (pittsburgh steelers) also follow the same plan, loyalty to their staff.

      • russo757 says:

At what point do you draw the line of loyality when it becomes a fault? Keeping in DD dispite his awful play does nothing but bring down the moral of the team. Benching Wilson almost all season because of a fumble game one, then asking him to start when AB1 goes out is unfair. He should have been getting playing time all along, and not just one play per game. Keeping Webster lined up against Torry Smith without help and watch him get abused all game. Why not put Tyron in? If def couldnt have been any worse.

There is a lot of talent sitting on that bench because the coaching staff thinks they are wet behind the ears and need to earn their dues but the speed of the play at the NFL level needs to be experienced on the field. You cant duplicate that at practice. They need to give these guys a chance and let them know a mistake here and there wont get them benched for the season. That way they can make accurate assessments of their ability and either keep them or cut them before 3-4 years have passed with them eating up salary cap and roster space A la Marvin Austin. They need to put him in the trenches and see if he is worth that second round pick. If not, cut him lose and lets find another DT.

        • Carlos Colon says:

Russo, you make it sound like its that easy to just pick up and drop someone.. this isn’t fantasy football my friend….

The reason why Wilson hasn’t played that much is simply because he cannot pass protect; you saw it in his first start when AB went down, Wilson got blown up by the LB and got push into Eli and guess what happened on that pass to Nicks vs. Falcons; INT by Manning….

You are starting to see him play now b/c AB is injured and he has shown some improvements in Pass Protection.. you can’t have a RB who can’t protect the face of the franchise in Eli; it simply can’t happen.. Lumpkin has seen some play b/c he is a much bigger back with more experience… Wilson will get his due, trust in Reese and TC. Wilson needs to add a few more lbs.. not too much though.
