RT David Diehl Had A Scope On His Knee After The Season

Giants right tackle David Diehl had a scope on his right knee after the season ended, and is expected to be ready for the start of offseason workouts April 15.

Diehl sprained the MCL in his right knee during Week 2 last season. He missed three games, and reclaimed his spot in the starting lineup in Week 9.

Diehl is due $4.475 million in 2013, casting some uncertainty on his future with the team. GM Jerry Reese said last week he had no comment when asked if Diehl will be on the team this season or if he will be asked to take a pay cut

I certainly hope the gmen keep Diehl for this last year! Not only can he play ANY position on the line, he has been a loyal, dedicated giant his whole career! He has fiercely protected eli the first few years, and helped get them to SB42.His knowledge of the oline and of eli and the calling,is worth his last year. Dave Diehl gives of himself to many charities, and fundraisers, and represents the big blue well! Keep him and allow him to fill in where ever they might need someone. NOT many linemen can do that, and that can prove valuable in its own right, especially with all the injuries the giants have endured.
