Giants sign DT Cullen Jenkins

The Giants made the first plash during free agency as they inked a contract with former Packers and Eagles DT Cullen Jenkins. According to NFL Networks Kim Jones, The Giants, after making another push at Jenkins, were able to sign him to a three-year contract worth $8 million. The contract includes roughly $3 million in guarantees.

Jenkins spent the last two seasons with the Eagles, starting all 32 games and registering 9.5 sacks. The Giants released defensive tackle Chris Canty in February, who missed most of last season after having knee surgery. The Giants will look for Jenkins to add stability along the line as well as provide help to stop the run.

He is more of a pass rusher then run stoper.

I like this signing, but I really wish they would’ve taken care of Cruz first, but I’m sure they know what they’re doing…
