Terrell Thomas On His Comeback

Terrell Thomas has started blogging for HuffPo Sports and in his first installment he talks about his journy back from his third ACL injury. I like this comment:

On Jan. 14, 2013, I had a morning appointment with Mr. Hunter Starks. Nervous but anxious to prepare myself and really attack my rehabilitation, I remember telling myself, “Terrell, be patient and do what they say.” If anyone knows me, I like to do things my own way, and I knew that I had to get away from that mindset. From that day until I left two months later, I rehabbed twice a day and worked-out, on top of a 30-day challenge that included 300 push-ups and 200 abs per day. I did this to challenge myself and to and remind me of why I was there. The doctors and the city of Pensacola taught me to be patient and to work when no one is watching.

Everyone has been skeptical that Thomas would come back from his third ACL, but yet he accomplished his goals and is playing in his second game on Sunday. And let me just say it is GREAT to have him back on the field. In many ways he was the best DB on the team in 2010 when he was last healthy. He is a physical, tough corner who has a nose for sniffing out the run and making great stops in the open field. We’re happy to have him back on the field in Blue. T2 – congratulations.
