Giants Drop Another Ugly One On The Road, 31-7 Chiefs Was The Final

The Giants lost their 4th consecutive game today to go 0-4, and they are 3-9 in their last 12 games since late last season.

The only score for the Giants came on a 60 yard bomb to Victor Cruz — and big plays or bust continue to define the offense for the Giants. If you follow us on Twitter, you know where we stand on that. Inside the 2 minute drill before the half, the Giants offense did look good and converted several first downs to get into field goal range… a FG that was missed to stay at at 10-7 deficit.

The defense kept the Giants in the game for 3 quarters, but it wasn’t enough. Antrel Rolle has 3 INTs on Alex Smith in the past year… accounting for one third of Smith’s total turnovers in that time. Pretty amazing actually. But the Giants couldn’t do anything with that turnover, nor have they all season only converting for 6 points off takeaways.

Special Teams was the achilles heal though today, as Dexter McCluster’s 89 yard punt return put the game away for the Chiefs way before it was officially over.
