Chris Snee Restructures Contract To Give Giants More Cap Breathing Room

Our friends over at NYCapCentral have the inside scoop on the Giants front office adjustments to RG Chris Snee’s contract to make extra cap room in case of emergency. Here is the article:

The Giants restructured Snee’s deal again today. Snee got an extra $2,500,000 up front. In exchange, the Giants got an extra $1,250,000 in cap room. Before this move today, the Giants were dead last in the entire league in this department with only $60,066 in cap room. This meant that of the Giants sustained another injury they would not be able to make a transaction. After this move, the Giants are now $1,310,066 under the cap

Whether this move is to IR someone, bring another player in, or just have some breathing room as Safety Will Hill is ready to come off his 4-gmae suspension for substance abuse.

And another brilliant move by Mr. “OMG does anyone have Ernie Accori’s private number? He’s not answering my calls anymore!!!!”

Can’t wait for our next draft wherein we use the #3 overall pick on a project defensive end.

Or another #4 on next year’s JPP of Tight Ends, or perhaps a #4 on drafting a position player who we hope to never use. True Genius at work!!

Wonder how much ‘dead’ money the Giants have on their books, and how they stack up against other teams in that category??

  3. he’s injured — he needs to be on the field. now he’s #4 in the lineup and wont see action until next year when Meyers and maybe Pascoe is off the team

  4. DP says:

Well I sure hope he proves to be worth the wait. In his second season with the team and I don’t recall Robinson attaining any stats, has he ever been active and/or played in a game during his Giants tenure?
