Packers 4th quarter weakness could be Giant strength

Packers coach Mike McCarthy hasn’t been happy with the defense this season, particularly in the fourth quarter. He said via ESPN:

“What I’m disappointed in, and it’s gone on all year, is our fourth-quarter performance. We’re not playing our best football when it counts,” McCarthy said Monday.

“We don’t have a drill for (fixing) it, particularly on Mondays, but it’s something we’ve been emphasizing. And to see it happen again (Sunday) is obviously disappointing and frustrating.”

While he Giants defense hasn’t had this problem — Eli Manning hasn’t been stellar in the 4th all season. But has looked to improve in closing out games in better fashion each week. After nearly hitting Vic Cruz to accomplish that feat last week…. The Giant offense is still on that path of improvement. This week could be the week that the NY Giants come together in the 4th and win convincingly for the first time in a long time.
