Injury Update – Hakeem Nicks Not Practicing Due To Groin Injury

Instead of practicing, Hakeem Nicks is on the bike next to Brandon Jacobs today. In the event that Nicks doesn’t play, will Louis Murphy be the new #1 wideout for the Giants? Not what we need to hear ahead of the most important game of the season on Sunday. Here’s the full injury report:

NEW YORK GIANTS
Player Injury Wed. Thu. Fri. Game Status
FB John Conner Hip DNP
RB Brandon Jacobs Knee DNP
CB Trumaine McBride Hip DNP
WR Hakeem Nicks Groin DNP
DE Jason Pierre-Paul Shoulder DNP
CB Terrell Thomas Knee DNP
CB Corey Webster Groin/Ankle LP

DALLAS COWBOYS
Player Injury Wed. Thu. Fri. Game Status

If Randle and Cruz both shift outside, and Jernigan plays the slot – I think I’d somehow be more comfortable with that arrangement than Louis Murphy taking over for Nicks the way he did last week. That red zone interception was totally on him in case you forgot.

Meanwhile the Dallas Cowboys get back DeMarcus Ware, Miles Austin, and Morris Claiborne for this weeks matchup – perfect timing.
