Kevin Gilbride as Head Coach-Part 1. Response.

I wrote a post recently describing the Giants offense as a Manatee on dry land! So I’m not happy with this plodding ineffective offence either. However, I think that being effective as a coaching staff in the NFL after ten-years in near impossible. Every team tries to figure out ways to beat you and sooner or later they do! I mean don’t look now but if the Giants loose the next two games there was a good chance they could have been *0-16 at the end of this year. For those of you who are suggesting that Eli was trying not to be critical of Kevin Gilbride might make sense – but then just keep quite and don’t say anything. Eli knows that another Coordinator will take some time to get acquainted with and I’m sure he wants  an opportunity to make the playoffs again next season. I know how frustrated Giants fans are with Kevin Gilbride but if you look at some of the great games that Eli has played in over the last six seasons Kevin Gilbride was the guy calling the plays.

And I can’t imagine the Giants keeping Tom Coughlin and hiring two new coordinators, how much sense does that make and who would take that job for one year? I just do not see the Giants making wholesale changes because they know that only Eli can get them to the playoffs again and Eli and Kevin Gilbride are joined at the well, hip…pads.

* My though here is that the Giants, while playing better defense during their five game winning streak might have benefitted by playing against less then frontline QB’s.

So if the Giants decide to make major changes then only Eli will be disappointed!

Book it Dano!
