TRUE GRIT.

My opinion; It was apparent from the beginning of the game today against the Detroit Lions, that the Giants were not going to be pushed around or run out through the stadium exits. There was finally some toughness to their play – not exactly “Smash Mouth Football “but competitive and gritty all day.

Two things remain apparent and that is that the O-line needs to be rebuilt from the ground up with only one player who appears to be a fixture at his position moving forward and that is Justin Pugh! I still say move him to Center and start from there, he is leader and he is battle tested. What do you say about Will Beatty? I can think of four games where he has looked lost and over matched against dominating defensive linemen.

It was finally fun watching Jerrel Jernigan making plays and once again Eli has had to adjust to another receiver. On the biggest play of overtime when Eli hit Jernigan on a pass you could understand how important it was for Eli to realize where JJ was taking his rough and that only comes with practice time. Jernigan may be finally coming around and he is tough as nails if you saw the hit he took last week and still fought for extra yardage.

The coaching staff deserve to feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that their team showed up for this game.

Book it Dano!
