Twelve players that can lead the Giant back to the top in 2014.

My opinion; I was dumbfounded, amazed, flabbergasted and speechless when I found out that Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots started this season with twenty two rookies on their roster-22! And the Patriots where never truly out of sink and once again won their division.

We need to play our younger players, more often this coming season. The premise of waiting for a player’s second or third year is outdated!

Here are the players that can lead the Giants back to the top:

There’s no way the Giants let this young stud go! Next.

You don’t go anywhere today in sports unless you are strong up the middle, so I am strongly suggesting that the Giants move Justin Pugh to center. Every team in the NFL knows to beat the Giants you have to rush Eli up the middle because the Giants offense is not predicated on moving Eli around. Pugh is 6’4” and 300 lbs. perfect size for a center and he is a leader and battle tested. Build around him now, and let him lead for a long time!

I thought the Giant coaches made a horrific mistake playing JJP 50 plays against the Dallas Cowboys during the first game of the season. Especially coming off disc surgery. The Cowboys doubled and tripled team him and chipped blocked him on every play for the entire game. I watched as JJP would bull-rush Tyron Smith and Smith would just grab JJP’s wrists for a split second and neutralize him long enough to render him ineffective. I’m not sure if JJP ever recovered from that game. In order to get him back to the dominating player he once was I think he needs to be moved around on the defensive front until he has his confidence back. I also think he needs to use his hands way more than he does to get to the QB! Which will also take stress of his back.

Will Hill has become the player Kenny Philips might have been if he didn’t have bad knees? Hill looks like he can dominate a game and pairing him with Antrel Rolle made them one of the best Safety tandems in the NFL. He’s a big hitter and athletic. But if you’re the Giants management you have to wonder if he is mature enough to play in the NFL You also have to agree that it’s the young mans propagative to keep his private life to himself. I think the Giants should suggest that he speak to a player like Pack-Man-Jones who seems to have turned his life and his career around. Yes, Adam Jones.

Demontre Moore:
I sill think of the play this preseason when this kid blocked a punt on the first series against the Steelers. Then what happened and where did he go? No one on the Giants gets off the ball as fast as this kid and yet the coaches waited until late in the season to start to use him. Famiuarity equates to speed and speed kills in the NFL…the more you play the more you see and that is why I hate the Giants system of not playing their talented rookies because it is so out dated. Please NFL Gods don’t let this kid be over coached!

I am keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers that this young man will play again – and for the Giants. No first round draft choice received more attention then he did during his first training camp. Even Tike Barber suggested that he was the most talented running back in Giant history. But unfortunately he fumbled on his first carry last year and was banished to the sidelines until late in the season. I really believe this ridiculous coaching style coast the Giants a shot at the playoffs. So what did the Giants brain-trust do the first game against Dallas this year – but run him off the left side – not once but twice, the same play he fumbled on the prior year. Terrible coaching job! This kid is a player so why not design an offence where he runs some end runs – dink and dunk some passes to loosen up the defensive instead of running him up the 2 and 3 hole! He has sprinter speed so send him deep every once in a while as well.
I hope this young man plays again because his smile and enthusiasm is infectious. And he is a big time talent!

Give him the C again and let him lead. Enough said!

How could you possibly let the only linebacker on your team go who seems to understand the defensive scheme of Perry Fewell? You can’t. And he is the only linebacker on the Giants that plays the position down hill!

What, and miss the ball falling twenty yards short of the end zone again.…no way.

I don’t think there’s a smooth transition between the players Reese and Ross draft and how TC uses them! This guy can play…

This kid just had too much talent be considered a bust! He just needed playing time and Elis confidence!

I lay Eli’s terrible year squarely on the shoulders of Giant management! Every year the Giants ask Eli to raise the level of his Tight Ends and Receivers. And every year he does just that. But letting Martellus Bennett go was a set back to the offence. Eli should have had Bennett and Brandon Myers to throw to not one or the other! And I have never seen a more ridiculous draft strategy from the Giants then to draft Ryan Nessib when they needed DB’s and O-Linemen. Hopefully, Nessib someday will be a great NFL QB but the Giants clearly took their eyes off of the only QB who can win them another championship. The Elite One!

Book-it Dano!
