NFL Story: Eli Manning Is Not Elite

Sigh… Adam Schein of NFL.com has done it again.  Eli Manning is not elite. Say nothing of the 2007 greatest upset Super Bowl of all time. Pay no attention to the 2011 Super Bowl run where Eli Manning carried his team to another world championship behind a disgusting offensive line, the worst run game in the NFL, and a jekyll and hyde defense.  2 Super Bowl  MVP awards apparently only get you the moniker “Veterans with rings.”

Unbelievable.

Andrew, I wonder if Adam Schein ever watched the Championship game against the 49ers where the Giants O-line kept dragging Eli off of the wet turf put there there time and agin by the relentless 49ers D. And then that amazing pass to Mario Manningham between two defenders, perhaps Eli’s greaest pass…

I would definitely vote for Eli’s pass to Manningham as the greatest one I have seen him throw. Probably one of the greatest Super Bowl throws of all-time. I am still amazed when I see that replay of how he muscled that ball in that very tight window.
