Tom Coughlin Inks Another Contract, Here Through 2015

Tom Coughlin is set to Coach the New York Giants for 2 more years. With any success now that the offensive coordinator situation has been addressed – he may continue to be the oldest head coach in the NFL for years to come.

Via The Star-Ledger:

Coughlin agreed in principle to a one-year contract extension that will allow him to coach through the 2015 season.

The extra year is worth roughly $7 million, according to a person familiar with the situation who requested anonymity in order to speak freely on the matter.

What was once a possible lame-duck season for the 67-year-old head coach is now the beginning of a rebuilding campaign that should offer him some breathing room.
